Okay everyone, it's Wednesday and you know what that means?
It's time to talk about Indian Main Dishes!
Let's get right to it. :p

Aloo Gobi
This is a vegetarian dish made with cauliflower, potatoes, and Indian spices. It has a beautiful yellow color because of the use of turmeric. Other ingredients could include fresh garlic, coriander, onion, and ginger. Of course there are various ways to play it up to your liking, but check out the video below to see how Ruchi Bharani does it in her tutorial!
In this video, the lovely Ruchi shows you just how you can make your own Aloo Gobi dish! This tutorial, is short, sweet, and to the point. Also, close up shots of the food as its cooking is just beautiful. Check out the rest of Ruchi's channel if you want to learn how to cook more Indian Dishes!

Chicken Biryani
Biryani is a rice dish that's packed full of spices, meat, and of course, RICE!
Random fact: one theory states that the name comes from birinj, the Persian word for rice. Another states that it derives from biryan, or beriyan, which means to fry or roast
Either way, it's a beautiful rice dish, and you can learn to make it!
This is another easy tutorial, only this time, it's taught by The Bombay Chef, Varun Inamdar, who is also the the author of "Celebrate Life, Food and Wine". Don't forget, he is also the head of the Chocolate Factory Ecuador. And also, he's served former President Barack Obama before.
And also, this guy is just awesome, okay? Watch his tutorial to see for yourself!

Chicken Tikka Masala
This is a dish consisting of marinated chicken and spicy curry sauce. As with several other Indian food, this one is full of spices, giving this dish a flavorful punch! Learn how to make it by watching the video below!
Full list of ingredient in the video as well as description, close up shot of the food as it's cooked from beginning to end, easy instructions to listen to, what more could you possibly want?! Chef Kanak has an entire channel to making tutorial like these, so please check it out!

Traditional Indian Breakfast

What does Indian food look like?

Today, I will show you a guy who cooks traditional Indian breakfast in a village. All his materials for cooking are picked from the village field. This breakfast has two dishes. They are Besan Cheela (gram flour pancake) and "indian milk".

I will teach you how to cook them. Fistly, Besan Cheela, go find a field where has fresh onions, carlic, chilli, and fenugreek (most people can not because they are living in cities lol). If not , get them from supermarket. Then cut them to small pieces. Next, mixing gram flour, salt, cumin seed, and those "pieces" with water. Finally, put them on a flat hot pot and bake them until they are have little "black" on it. Do not forgot to put a little bit of oil. Secondly, "Indian milk", this is my first time know that milk can be cooked like that. Putting raw milk to a pot. Then adding tea, suger, ginger and boil them. Finally, it needs to be filter to a cup.

One food plus one drink makes a perfect traditional Indian food. Also, most real Indian people do eat breakfast like this in the country side. I like what this video maker said: we are happy with our real life, we don't need to fake it or show off to anyone".

Japanese Dessert " Fruit cream Anmitsu"

The most exciting part of a meal!!

Yes, you guessed it right it’s dessert time. Most people like to travel abroad during warmer period, and if you are planning a trip to japan or just visiting a Japanese restaurant here in the states, we got the perfect cold dessert for you. Everyone likes to have something sweet after eating a good meal and today we are covering a traditional dessert from japan called “ Fruit cream Anmitsu”.

It is made of a translucent jelly (Red Algae or Agar) mixed with water to become jelly. Secondly you add red bean paste, mochi, served with brown sugar syrup and optionally ice cream. I mainly chose it because you can add colorful and juicy fruits of your choice such as grapes, peach, Pineapple, Mandarin, Kiwi etc.

Here is a video on YouTube  “ Cooking with Dog” on how to make Fruit Cream Anmitsu. Check it out and ENJOY !!!

How to Skip Death Eating A Pufferfish

http://www.photolib.noaa.gov/htmls/expl0372.htm
The video below, shows one of the most popular tech-creators who currently has an estimate, 8 Million subscribers on YouTube, Casey Neistat. Casey ate his first Pufferfish with host of Eater, Kat Odell, now it's your turn! According to the article, Japan Info,by Sannsoe explained how in order to survive eating this fish, it needs to be prepared by a professional chef who has undergone years of training on how to accurately prepare the dish. Sannsoe added that one simple mistake in cutting the fish could lead customers to their death beds because of how venomous it is. The article detailed how this fish can attack the muscles where an individual's entire body can automatically become paralyzed and then it shuts down the respiratory system.
Now the real question is, would you eat a Fugu (pufferfish)?
Well first off, lets start by weighing the pros and cons. Cons: would be that there is a high possibility of getting sick if you do not choose the correct restaurant with a good reputation. Also, according to Japan Info, this fish ranges from $20 to $200, so start saving up. Tips: Look up the reviews for the restaurant and look for comments from customer who had experience eating the pufferfish. Oh, and don't forget to look up if they have a qualified chef's who cooks the fugu. Pros: The pufferfish is rare fish and I know that I would not pass up the opportunity to eat one.

Japanese Main Dishes

Okay y'all, it was REALLY hard to pick which dishes to feature since there are so many to choose from! But after some deep thinking, we decided to choose three; tsukemen, dragon roll sushi, and my personal favorite, katsu curry. So let's jump right in!

Tsukemen

Also known as dip-ramen, it is exactly as the name implies; ramen noodles that are meant to be eaten after being dipped in a separate bowl of soup. The noodles could be served cold or at room temperature, while the soup is served hot. The soup also serves as a dipping sauce for the noodles as it is much more concentrated in flavor compared to standard broth. Anyways, enough rambling, the video below does a much better job of explaining! :p

So a little bit about the video, Mike Chen shares his experience of eating tsukemen at the Taishoken Ramen Shop. The video is fun, informative, and makes your mouth water as he goes into detail about how the food tastes. Also, there are some beautiful close up shots of the dish.

Dragon Roll Sushi
Look at it.
Look at how glorious that sushi roll is.
Alright, now time for some facts; a dragon roll is basically an inside out sushi roll where the rice and fish are wrapped outside the seaweed. There are many variations of the dragon roll, but believe me when I say that they're all delicious.
Okay, so you've seen how epic this dragon roll is, now you can learn how to make it!

In this video, Chef Davy Devaux shows you how to make this beautiful dragon roll. This guy an self taught, sushi enthusiast who makes easy to to follow tutorials. Also, his accent is very pleasant to listen to. Check out his Youtube channel for more sushi recipes!

Katsu Curry
As I have mentioned before, this dish is a personal favorite of mine and for good reason too. It involves tonkatsu, a deep fried pork cutlet served with curry and rice. Sounds so simple but LORD, it's amazing. Check out Tasty's video below to learn how to make your very own katsu curry!

If you haven't heard about Buzzfeed's Tasty videos by now then you're in for a treat. These videos show you how to cook delicious meals in about a minute or so. I have the recipe of this specific katsu curry memorized all thanks to this video. So please, give it a watch!

...And there you have it! Three Japanese main dishes that you now know about and should definitely try! Thanks for reading and be sure to follow us to keep up with our latest updates!

Japanese Breakfast !

What does a Japanese Breakfast look like?

People are familiar with some Japanese foods like Sushi, Teriyaki, or Sashimi. They are very delicious, but we do not eat them in the morning. Very few people know what Japanese people eat during the morning time. Do you have the same question? If so, let me reveal it for you.

A Japanese breakfast usually has five courses. It is a lot, but they are small dishes. First dish that, Life Where I'm From introduces is the TAMAGOYAKI (Japanese Omelette) by grilling the mixed eggs and a little bit of milk and make it roll. You would have to roll it very softly in order to not break it. Second, is MISO SHIRO (Miso Soup). Then put spinach, tofu, fish broth flakes and fermented soybean paste (Miso) into the boiled water. Thirdly, you add the TAKO-SANUINA, which is a mini sausage but octopus style. Fourth is rice. Last dish is NATTO. It is a mix of fermented soybean and soy souse and fish broth. You need to mix them until they become a white color.

The above five dishes are what a Japanese eats in the morning, I like them. What about you?
